Jon & Misty Gay met in the software industry, and came together in part over a love of good food and an interest in how things work at the root level.

Jon's sister Susan, and her husband Michael Brady, along with their two sons, relocated to the Ranch in 2007. Sadly, we lost Mike to cancer in February of 2011.

Susan is our Ranch Manager, and Justin and Jacob, now 16 and 14, assist in all aspects of the Ranch. Their ranch work includes herding cattle on horseback, checking fencelines and the creeks, and caring for all the animals. In their off time, the boys are avid football and baseball players, and we consider them the best ranch hands around.

Our logo represents the place where roots and blades of grass come together, where earth meets sky. It's an everyday place, where you put your feet on the ground, and it's filled with wonder and nourishment.
